Description

We are looking for you as a Telematics Application Engineer (gn) to provide dedicated technical support to our customers, with a primary focus on Italy and potential involvement in other international markets.
In this role, you will act as the central interface between our customers and our development team, assisting with the integration and optimization of our innovative telematics solutions. The full-time position is 100% remote within Europe, preferably based in Italy or Germany to ensure close collaboration with our international team and our Italian customers. The start date is as soon as possible.

Your Role

Mainly for our customers in the Italian market:
You develop application logic for our telematics gateways using Proemion custom tooling and structured text in CODESYS.
You design and maintain unit tests and hardware-in-the-loop tests to ensure functionality and high product quality.
You support our customers in developing, implementing, and optimizing the above-mentioned applications.
You assist customers with the physical integration of our hardware into their series production environments.
You gather and analyze customer requirements and translate them into clear, actionable input for decision-makers and developers.
You collaborate closely with our development, support, and sales teams to ensure efficient, customer-oriented solutions.
You document technical solutions and share your knowledge to support continuous improvement

Your Skills

Must haves:

Experience with mobile machine, automotive, or industrial communication network technologies and protocols (CAN Bus, CANopen, J1939, UDS, OPC UA)
Git version control
Managing projects to ensure sustained growth and continuous improvement
Knowledge of the fundamentals of information technology
Programming experience in IoT or embedded applications (e.g. RTOS, task scheduling, linux, microcontrollers)
Experience in at least one of the following industries: mobile machinery or automotive or industrial automation or aerospace
Requirements engineering
Strong communication skills in Italian and English, German is nice to have

Nice to haves:

Structured text/CODESYS
Mobile working machines industry experience
Collaboration with customers
Hardware in the loop and software testing
SCRUM
Information security
Flashing and bootloaders
Scripting in python or similarly high-level programming language

Deine Aufgaben

Hauptsächlich für unsere Kundschaft auf dem italienischen Markt:
Du entwickelst Anwendungslogik für unsere Telematik-Gateways mithilfe des Proemion-Custom-Toolings sowie strukturiertem Text in CODESYS.
Du erstellst und pflegst Unit-Tests sowie Hardware-in-the-Loop-Tests, um die Funktionalität und Qualität der Anwendungen sicherzustellen.
Du unterstützt unsere Kunden bei der Entwicklung, Implementierung und Optimierung der genannten Anwendungen.
Du begleitest Kunden bei der physischen Integration unserer Hardware in deren Serienproduktion und sorgst für einen reibungslosen Ablauf.
Du analysierst Kundenbedürfnisse, bereitest die gewonnenen Informationen auf und leitest daraus klare und umsetzbare Handlungsempfehlungen für Entscheidungsträger und Entwickler ab.

Deine Qualifikationen

Must-haves:

Erfahrung mit mobilen Maschinen, Automobil- oder industriellen Kommunikationsnetzwerktechnologien und -protokollen (CAN-Bus, CANopen, J1939, UDS, OPC UA)
